hōgidde
"I had gone / I went" in spoken Kannada is hōgidde. It's a verb (past perfect, 1sg) that you'll first encounter in Lesson 10: I Went to Mysuru of the KannadaMaadi course, where Anu and Ravi use it in context.
Grammar note from hōgu 'to go'; spoken Kannada often uses this where Hindi uses simple past gayā
